	Identity — Art-Direction &#124; Design &#124; Typography &#124; Layout


	Alternation is the repeated occurrence of two things in turn. It is also, soon to be, a small business started by a forward—thinking designer. Alternation provides a platform for clients who desire to turn a special or not—so—special piece, into that unique little something.With a commitment to a circular supply of recycled materials + garments, nothing gets wasted. It’s a simple business concept, so a simple typographic concept was divised to tell the tale of alternating between ‘Alterations + Up—cycling’.

Ångström Space is a music promotion company which needed an identity that showcased a ‘coming together’. 

Two polar—opposite shapes built from positive + negative space within the ‘Å’, join to meet at their polar—axis, creating a new construct of space — A shared + equal environment where the ‘Inner—Circle’ meets ‘Outside—The—Box’.

	Antica&#38;nbsp;is an iconic Italian restaurant in Brisbane’s beautiful suburb of Kedron. The owners were seeking an updated brand, but unfortunately the competition for the design was family. 
Alas, it was a fun typographic project, whereby the ‘Swoosh’ shape came from a thrown spaghetti, as well as the throwing of homemade pizza dough, which came together to “cross the ‘T’ and dot the ‘i’.”

	As a part of the City of Melbourne’s grand gesture to re-stimulate the music industry by means of releasing 40 records in collaboration with Heavy Machinery Records + Flash Forward. 
The front + rear artworks were designed in collaboration with Bitumen. The inside gatefold was typeset to match the annunciation of Kate’s singing.

	Donald’s House is a duo from the ever prevalent music world of Melbourne. They are an all encompassing electronic act, who emit an intoxicating + interplanetary sound.The album (adequately titled ‘The Final Front Ear’) evokes a colourful, calming but also wildly energetic theme throughout. 

The artwork was inspired by three separate eras/persons — Japanese synth professor; Hiroshi Yoshimura from the 70’s, The general arcade, videogame—sounds of the 80’s + Happy Mondays’ album ‘Pills, Thrills + Bellyaches’ from the 90’s. 

These references became a visual amalgamation, creating a fresh level of typographic—neo—psychedelia.
The duo were asked by Everpress to have their shirt campaigned with the merchandise entrepreneurs. Link soon to come.
